Hawaii Research Center for Futures Studies


The Hawaii Research Center for Futures Studies (Hawaii Futures), also known as the Manoa School of Futures Studies, is a future studies academic program and research center located at the University of Hawaii at Manoa within the Department of Political Science, College of Social Sciences. Initiated in 1971, the program offers MA and PhD degrees through the Department of Political Science. In addition to academic training and research, Hawaii Futures also provides consultation to businesses, organizations, and governmental agencies. Under the leadership of futurist Jim Dator, Hawaii Futures has become highly regarded among future studies programs around the world.
