The Seattle Arts & Lectures program Writers in the Schools (WITS) and The Seattle Public Library present Imagination into Ink: The 2009 WITS Student Reading & Celebration.
The Siemens Foundation recently announced their 2008 winners of their annual Siemens Competition in Math, Science, and Technology. Wen Chyan and the team of Sajith M. Wickramasekara and Andrew Y. Guo won the $100,000 Grand Prize for their projects titled "Versatile Antimicrobial Coatings from Pulse Plasma Deposited Hydrogels and Hydrogel Composites" and "A Functional Genomic Framework for Chemotherapeutic Drug Improvement and Identification" respectively.
