FAB Find | Beautiful Bee's Wrap

Simple. Sustainable. Stylish. That is the best and only way to describe Bee's Wrap, the "new" old-fashioned alternative to plastic for food bags and storage created by Vermont-based Sarah Kaeck. The keen technology? Organic muslin is infused with beeswax, jojoba oil, and tree resin. The antibacterial properties of beeswax and jojoba oil help keep food fresh and best of all, Bee's Wrap can be re-used again and again.

HexWatch | Contemporary Tumblers

Though it's shape is clearly not a hexagon, we couldn't help but add Sempli's Cupa-Rocks tumbler by Swedish designer Daniele Semeraro to our HexWatch collection since it's silhouette does form a comparably-appealing pentagon.

The simple but bold lines of the tumblers may be a stylish way to enjoy your Scotch, saké, or whiskey, but it's unique form offers functional benefits as well. The shape allows the glassware to roll gently across a flat surface when set down, oxygenating the fine spirit inside. The shape also fits perfectly into the palm of your hand which warms the spirit slightly. Together, these features make the bouquet of your favorite brandy our bourbon even more appealing. HexWatch | Amazing in Motion by Lexus

Amazing in Motion is a visionary project by Lexus to explore the beauty of motion through technology and film. The short film below, Steps, tells the story of a two figures finding each other in a bustling city. The website itself is fully innovative it its interactive elements but the many sub-elements and supporting videos help demonstrate the creativity and complexity of the project. Perhaps most impressive is the puppetry skills that bring the figures in the project to life.

HexWatch | Popham Design's Honeycomb Hex Tile

Yes, it was the fantastic hexagons that caught our eye...we do love hexagons around here. But the broad range of tiles by Marrakech based Popham Design are all just as beautiful and inspiring. The creations of Caitlin and Samuel Dowe-Sandes, each of the tiles offers the best of the long tradition behind Moroccan cement tiles and thoroughly modern design. Lucky for us, the tiles are available around the world.

HexWatch | Hot Mesh Chair

We're suckers for new chair designs so when we ran across the Hot Mesh Chair on Bludot.com, we sat up straight all smiles. And then we saw the hexagons. WE HEART HEXAGONS! Best of all, these little gems can be used indoors and outdoors.

Our hexagon crush continues with the Kaleido Trays by Swedish designer Clara von Zweigbergk available at A+R. You can mix and match the geometric shapes to fit your organizational or presentation needs, all with a bit of science and graphic design edge.

Swarovski has been active in lighting for quite some time, but their newest designs and technology just get more and more dazzling. The CRYSTALON Pendant takes its inspiration from the very crystals themselves and the LED technology makes them brighter and more sustainable than ever. Brilliant!

HexWatch | Tom Dixon's Hex Bowls

We seem to find another fabulous bowl around every corner. Our latest crush is the Hex Bowl by Tom Dixon. Available in three sizes, the hand formed solid copper vessel is sealed with a food safe clear lacquer. The bowls are without a doubt thoroughly modern and yet they have an element of ancient metal to them that makes them objects that are both fascinating and functional. Available at YLiving.

HexWatch | Couture Chaos

Ukrainian designer Vasiliy Butenko has created order out of chaos with his Mess Lamp. A fan of both geometry and the more organic forms in nature, Butenko succeeded in combining his interests into a functional object that is truly unique.

Our hexagon crush continues with the this bold bench, Hexagon, by Przemyslaw 'Mac' Stopa for Casamania.

Progress Chic | Déchirer Tile

The Déchirer Tile, a line of giant textured tile slabs by designer Patricia Urquiola for Mutina demonstrate that modern objects don't have to be mundane. The texture throughout the tiles is both familiar and futuristic with its almost digital portrayal of organic designs and patterns.

Hex Watch - Porcelain Hexagonal Vase

The hive shape lends itself well to the Etsy aesthetic and there are any number of hexagon-patterned goodies there, but I just fell in love with this subtle use of our shape of choice. Love the color and the soft porcelain texture of this vase from Janson Pottery.

A little rustic and a lot modern, these little vases from West Elm are sure to brighten up any drab corner of your home or office.

Hex Watch: Wooly Walls

Our hexigon crush continues. Born of a fantastic collaboration between Träullit and design studio Form Us With Love, these lovely hexagons are a perfect combination of form and function. Comprised of a recyclable material made with wood wool, cement and water, the Dekor form a sort of multi-tasking material for adorning walls. The material is moisture-regulating, heat-accumulating and fire resistant (just to name a few!) and because the hexagons are also sound-absorbing, they are ideal for helping improve acoustics in residential and industrial spaces. Here's to the future of modern, sustainable design!

Hex-watch: Hexagons at Heath

Decorative tiles have adorned public and private spaces for millenia so we are quite pleased with tile's latest incarnation. It is a match made in design heaven...Health ceramics and Dwell magazine recently launched Dwell Patterns, a line of tiles for the thoroughly modern home. The fact that hexagons are front and center is icing on the cake.
