Doggy doo powers park
A new project by Cambridge, MA based artist Matthew Mazzotta has has given the world the gift of a new alternative energy source...poo. Yes, poo. Or brown gold as it may be called in the near future. The Park Spark Project collected dog doo at Pacific Park in Cambridge, MA and then used a methane digester to convert the waste to methane gas. Once converted, the biogas was then used to power a nearby lamp. The good news is any organic material can be used in the digester, including human 'methane sources'.
