Innovation 2008 - Smarter Science & Technology Policy


Innovation 2008, a conference being organized by the University of Minnesota to be held on October 20th and 21st, will bring together academicians, policy makers, scientists, educators, artists, students and the public to discuss solutions to the major challenges facing the United States revolving around science and technology policy, including innovation, energy, sustainability, health sciences, and economic competitiveness. Specific topics will include innovation and the economy, science and the elections, STEM and the education crisis in America, energy security & sustainability, what's missing from the political debates, and rekindling America's love affair with Science. The conference is co-hosted by the Herbert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs' Center for Science, Technology, & Public Policy and Science Debate 2008.
