Our fetish for facets is never-ending. Our latest find is this snazzy little speaker from Outdoor Technology. The Turtle Shell Bluetooth Speaker offers fantastic sound and rugged good looks...literally. The faceted shell may be all modern but it is also water-resistant, dust-proof, and shock-proof. From patio cocktail parties to glamping in the high Rockies, this speaker lets you bring your favorite tunes to any occasion.

Lustrous Metal Mobile

Being design geeks, we love coming across a great mobile here at Future-ish. This Blowing Leaves Copper Mobile by Jay Jones for Uncommon Goods adds a little science to the moving sculpture with its beautiful casts of ginkgo leaves.

Modern Dominos

Danish designers Nina Lee and Ludvig Storm combined great design with a traditional game to one-up the competition. The Pieces N Play Domino Set at DWR is guaranteed to delight design geeks of any age.

Beautify Your Balance Ball

Finally! A solution for the blah balance ball. myBall has created a line of balance ball covers that give that boring balance ball in your life a full on makeover. The covers offer great design and full-on functionality with the ability to use the balance ball in its full range of activities but also wash the cover whenever needed. Best of all, the covers are made from recycled microfiber so they are truly sustainably and stylish. Put this on a balance ball that contains no phthalates and you are good and green to go.

Particle Zoo

We found it! The perfect gift for your science-curious kids or your slightly geeky office mate. Particle Zoo is a line of plush atomic particles that area as cute as they are quirky. Individually they run $11 but you can also get them in sets that range from $20 for two particles to $350 for the full set of 36.

Fab Facets | Land of Nod Lamp

Facets are everywhere these days but finding objects for your home can sometimes be a challenge since many a faceted find is also an expensive one of a kind work of art. So we couldn't pass up this lamp named Between a Rock and a Lamp Base from Land of Nod that is both artistic and affordable. The base comes in gold, silver, or white and there are many options for lamp shade colors.

Fab Facets | Icosahedron Blocks

Another find for our Fab Facets collection...and these facets are actually even named! The Icosahedron Blocks by Areohome in Laguna Beach are actually just that, icosahedrons. What is that you ask, well icosahedrons are polyhedrons with 20 identical equilateral triangular faces and 30 edges. This particular geometic gem would look as good in a NYC loft as it would on your favorite geometry teacher's desk.

HexWatch | Tom Dixon's Hex Bowls

We seem to find another fabulous bowl around every corner. Our latest crush is the Hex Bowl by Tom Dixon. Available in three sizes, the hand formed solid copper vessel is sealed with a food safe clear lacquer. The bowls are without a doubt thoroughly modern and yet they have an element of ancient metal to them that makes them objects that are both fascinating and functional. Available at YLiving.
